Career Counselling & Guidance Cell

The Kamakhya Pemton College’s Career Counselling and Guidance Cell, established on 28th
March,2022, is dedicated to empowering students to make informed decisions about their
academic and professional pursuits.
Under the esteemed leadership of Principal W. Nimai Sing and Coordinator Yumlembam Irich,
the cell functions with the vision of nurturing well-rounded graduates who are equipped with the
knowledge, skills, confidence and good career choices.

Objectives

1. To provide comprehensive career guidance and support services to students across all
   academic disciplines.
2. To equip students with essential employability skills through workshops, seminars, and
   training programs.
3. To facilitate networking opportunities with alumni, professionals, and industry experts.
4. To guide newly admitted students through the college curriculum and syllabus.
5. To raise awaleness about various competitive examinations.

Functions

1. The Cell organizes Skill Development Programs for students, enhancing Communication
   Skills, Leadership Skills, Soft Skills and Time Management.
2. The Cell provides a platform for students’ engagement with eminent persons, role models
   and professionals of various academic and professional fields.
3. The Cell trains students in relation to teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability.
4. The Cell guides students in job application strategies, career choices, and conducts
   confidence-boosting programs for overall skill enhancement.
