CODE OF CONDUCT FOR NON-TEACHING STAFF

Non-teaching staff is required to accommodate the needs of the students as well as to help the complementary works of teachers and fulfill their own responsibilities. Non-teaching staff is to help and guide the students in office procedures in the need of the students. The relationship between teaching and non-teaching staffs is essential for meeting the diverse needs and ends of the institution in the interest of the students. The followings are some important responsibilities of the non-teaching staffs.

  1. They should perform official activities with honesty, fairness, integrity, objectivity, professional ethics, confidentiality, and moral ethics according to guidelines.
  2. Every non-teaching staff is to obey the orders of the principal and carry out duties assigned to them by the administrative staff.
  3. All the non-teaching staffs would respect and maintain the hierarchy in administration with self-discipline and positivity to the staffs, students, and the general public.
  4. They should justly and impartially deal with the students, guardians, and guests without considering their origin, socio-economic status, culture, educational level, color, caste, creed, religion, sex, age, physical features, family status, ideology, mental and physical ability.
  5. All the non-teaching staffs should arrive at the college punctually at least 15 minutes early before the commencement of office hours.
  6. They should not take leave of absence without prior information to the authority of the college or provide information about the circumstances or the reason for being unable to present such as illness, accident, etc. within three days.
  7. They should abhor politicizing for personal benefits or gains under any circumstances as the activity may disrupt the harmony and dignity of the college. They should refrain from unnecessary political motivations on the college campus so as not to hurt and ruin the sanctity and smooth progress of the Institution.
  8. Each and every non-teaching staff should remain on duty in the office during the whole office hours of the college.
  9. They should refrain from lodging any kind of unsubstantiated allegation against their colleagues and authority for the vested interests of them, and this may affect the discharge of duties and responsibilities in the institution.
  10. Non-teaching staff should develop a good relationship and friendly cooperation with the students to get fruitful results for all individuals and the institution in making peace, harmony, and progress.
  11. They should not misconduct towards any stakeholder, and any kind of misconduct is not acceptable under any circumstances. This may lead not only to academic and administrative failure but also to victimization and harsh discrimination of Students, Colleagues, and other staffs.
  12. Disciplinary Action should be taken against any staff for violating the service rules, regularity in duties, and the code of ethics and conduct, as this may invite punitive action in the form of Suspension or Termination from his/her service based on the reports of the inquiry committee of the college.
  13. Every non-teaching staff of the college should always take care of the college properties and keep official documents carefully in neat and clean. Any information, documents, papers of the office/to the office should not be transferred to any outsider. This information should be kept confidentially.
  14. All non-teaching staff should participate in keeping the college campus neat and clean. They may organize such activities in the college.
  15. They should participate with free and frank discussions/analyses/dissections/meetings for introducing new ideas and innovations for development in all sections of the college by suggestions/feedbacks/proposals in the interest of the institution.
