Touted as the largest global environment event, the “World Environment Day” is celebrated on 5th June (Sunday) 2022 to inspire efforts and positive changes to the environment. This year, the “World Environment Day” will see campaigns focused on collective and transformative efforts to preserved and protect our planet. So, we have also observed this day, by the Department of Botany under the guidance of L. Jibanlata, HOD of Botany Dept. associated with Chemistry and Zoology Dept. along with other non-teaching staff of the Kamakhya Pemton College, Hiyangthang. On this Day we have planted different kinds of plants and cleaning of the college surrounding have also been performed on this day.
