Scholarship Cell

Kamakhya Pemton College has firm belief in providing welfare and support for students. The

college is dedicated in creating an “inclusive” learning environment.

Scholarship Cell, Kamakhya Pemton College, was established on 28th March,2022, under the

guidance of esteemed Principal Dr. W. Nimai Singh, and coordinator, Dr. M. Indrakumar Meetei,

HOD Physics, with a desire to provide necessary initiatives and assistances to the college students

efficiently and effectively.

Objectives:

1. To make higher education affordable and accessible for deserving students from families with low incomes.
2. To support in creating an “inclusive” learning environment by providing support for college.
3. To provide effective processing, management and sustainability of Merit Awards and Scholarships available for students.

Functions:

1. Management of resources and student scholarships of the college
2. To conduct orientation and publicity programmes for the students to familiarise the terms and conditions of the scholarships available for them.
3. To supervise the application processes, verifications and documentations of all scholarships available to the students.
4. To conduct a fair and transparent selection process based on merit or other criteria specified for each scholarship.
5. To coordinate with college/relevant authorities to ensure timely disbursement of scholarship funds.
6. Periodically, review and amend scholarship policies and its span and sustainability.
